We have been searching for all the low-cost airline options there are to fly to and from Bulgaria. What follows is our report on all the low-cost airlines you can fly to Bulgaria, which we are going to publish in the next few weeks. So our pick today is:

Aer Lingus was founded by the Irish Government in April 1936 to provide air services to/from Ireland. The first flight, from Dublin to Bristol, took place on May 27th 1936. Aer Lingus’ low-cost, low fares model is centred on maintaining low unit cost, offering one way fares, maintaining effective fleet utilisation and developing the Aer Lingus brand. Consistent with this low-cost model, Aer Lingus’ primary distribution channel is its website aerlingus.com.

Aer Lingus will start a new service from Dublin to Bourgas in Bulgaria, with the flight becoming the airline’s first scheduled service to the Eastern European destination.

Starting on June 11, and operating until October 4, Aer Lingus will offer two flights a week to Bourgas Airport which is close to the major tourist resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

Flight details:
From Dublin to Bourgas
Departs 3pm, arrives 9pm (Wednesday and Saturday)

From Bourgas to Dublin
Departs 10pm, arrives 12.10am next day (Wednesday and Saturday)
